Kalni Express (Train No. 773/774) is an intercity train that runs between Dhaka (the capital of Bangladesh) and Sylhet (a major north-eastern city). Kalni Express was conceived to be a non-stop train of the Dhaka-Sylhet route of Bangladesh Railway, but it has since lost that status. Kalni Express made its inaugural run on 15 May 2012, intending to meet the demands of increasing passengers of the Dhaka-Sylhet route. The train started its maiden journey with a total of 12 carriages, including an AC carriage.
