Pabna Railway Station is a railway station situated in Pabna, Bangladesh, on the Majhgram–Dhalarchar branch of the Ishwardi–Sirajganj line. It is situated in the Laskarpur district of the city. The idea of building a railroad through Pabna that would connect Ishwardi and Nagarbari Ghat was started in 1974. However, the project was abandoned in 1979. almost three years since Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the nation’s prime minister was killed in a coup by the military. Following the election of the Second Hasina Ministry in 2010, it was decided to start the project again. The intended railway’s route was rerouted to Dhalarchar from the final terminal, Nagarbari. After the railway line’s construction from Madhgram to Pabna in 2017, the train trail was inaugurated in this area. The Majhgram–Pabna portion of the railway line was made operational for train traffic on July 14, 2018.
Dhalarchar Express 779 train departs from Pabna at 8:15 am and arrives in Rajshahi at 10:25 am. Dhalarchar Express will not be open on Tuesday.
